Cristo Rey Community Center Food Access

Because no one should go hungry

Cristo Rey’s food access programs serve vulnerable individuals and families who are food insecure or suffer from hunger for those in need in the Lansing area.

  Cristo Rey has several free food programs, consisting of our community kitchen, food pantry, fresh food and produce distribution, and our bread rack. Our clients may utilize one or all of them!

Each service has different eligibility requirements. If you do not qualify for one, you may qualify for another. To be eligible for our Food Pantry and Open Distribution you must bring a valid Photo ID.

Community Kitchen:

Provides breakfast and lunch to community members.

All are eligible to receive food, all are welcome.

Hours: Mon-Fri: 9am-11am and 12pm-2pm

Fresh Food and Produce Distribution:

A large quanity of fresh fruits, vegetables and non-perishable food is distributed to the public.

Registration begins at 8am. Must bring a valid state identification card or Driver’s License. 

All are welcome, 1 box of food per household.

Hours: Every 2nd and 4th Thursday 8am until food is distributed.

Open Distribution for November and December 2018:

November 9th and November 30th

December 14th and December 28th

Bread Rack:

Offers a limit of 2 loaves of bread to every household, 5 days a week.

All are welcome, please sign-in before accessing bread.

Hours: Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm

Food Pantry:

Offers food, personal needs items, infant formula and diapers to area residents. Must live in zip codes: 48906, 48917  (limited areas), or 48823 (North of I-69 and East of Abbot Rd only).

Bring Photo ID and proof of residency.

Appointments ONLY, we advise you to schedule your appointment a few days in advance.

Walk-ins are accepted for those without permanent residency.
