On Friday, July 28, 2017, Cristo Rey had some extra amazing volunteers from AIM High! Bright and early at 10 in the morning, AIM High participants were in the building and eager to help out. Groups helped us prepare food in our Community Kitchen and with some general work outside to help beautify our grounds. We are so thankful for all of the volunteers—they did a fantastic job!

AIM High (Academic Intergenerational Mentoring) is a four-week summer mentoring program for 7th/8th graders and high schoolers in the Lansing School District. College and High School mentors engage in various volunteer opportunities throughout the week while offering mentorship and guidance. This program builds relationships and develops social/emotional health and well-being in the students who participate.

Thank you AIM High for being fantastic volunteers at Cristo Rey. Everyone at Cristo Rey had wonderful things to say about these students’ positive attitude and politeness. We encourage everyone to check out their social media and to support these amazing students and mentors!
